For many, climbing serves as a source of happiness, but maintaining a gym membership can become a difficult trade-off when struggling to meet other financial obligations. The purpose of our Reduced Rate Membership Program is to offer relief to individuals facing financial challenges while ensuring their mental and physical well-being. We want to create a climbing gym that serves as a sanctuary, minimizing the stress of choosing which bills to pay.

The concept behind the Reduced Rate Program is to promote inclusivity and accessibility by accommodating individuals with varying financial capacities. It recognizes that different people have different financial circumstances and aims to remove financial barriers that may prevent them from using our facilities.

WHO QUALIFIES FOR THE MEMBERSHIP?

Consider applying for the Reduced Rate Membership if you:

  • Struggle to meet basic needs consistently.

  • Are unemployed/underemployed and not by choice.

  • Are accepting government assistance for basic needs.

  • Rarely purchase new items due to financial constraints.

  • Are having trouble supporting the basic needs of your children or other dependents.

  • Have a disability or impairment that impacts your ability to work.

  • Are an elder with limited financial support.

  • Experience medical expenses not covered by insurance.

    Consider a Regular Membership if you:

  • Engage in recreational travel.

  • Choose to work part-time.

  • Have the financial means to take time off.

  • Have discretionary income that allows you to dine out, purchase new clothes, attend leisure events, etc, without significant budget constraints.

  • Own your home.

  • Possess investments, retirement accounts, or inherited wealth.

  • Have access to family resources and financial support during times of need.

  • Enjoy a relatively high earning potential even if you are not currently leveraging this earning power. We kindly ask you to acknowledge it as a personal choice.

The Reduced Rate Membership availability is limited and depends on the honesty of the applicant and community.  The reduced rate program waives the membership enrollment fee and provides the participant with a reduced rate for six months.  After six months, the membership ends, and the participant can submit a new application or have the option to transition to the normal rate (without enrollment fee) if financial conditions allow.  Participants may terminate without a fee at any time.

If at any time it is determined a participant was untruthful on their application, or their financial situation has changed, Spire Climbing + Fitness retains the right to terminate the participants membership.  Please be honest when applying, as there are limited reduced rate memberships.  Dishonesty will take this opportunity away from someone who really needs it!
