Summer Camps

Our summer camps are a great way for children ages 5–16 to enjoy rock climbing in an fun, structured environment! In Spire's summer camps, beginners learn the essentials of the sport while kids with prior climbing experience take their skills to the next level.  Our summer camps are half-day, weeklong camps, with tons of climbing time, as well as plenty of fun and games for your child.  A mid-day snack keeps your child energized and ready to climb their best throughout the week.  Our experienced summer camp instructors engage campers in fun and challenging activities designed to improve strength, confidence, focus, trust, and teamwork.

  • Bouldering Camp (Ages 10-15)

    Held at Spire's state-of-the-art Training Center, our Bouldering Camp is designed for climbers ages 10-15 who want to focus their skills on the strength and techniques required in bouldering. While climbing low to the ground without the assistance of ropes, this form of climbing offers a simplistic way to move on the wall. This camp includes strength and training focuses, outside time, provided snack, and a series of games and challenges, allowing each participant to work on discipline, focus, coordination, strength, and movement. Instructor to student ratio of 1:7.

  • Monkey Mania (Ages 5-8)

    Monkeys learn the essentials of climbing including knots, commands, and technique through a series of games and activities designed for new and returning campers ages 5-8. Our experienced instructors will engage campers with fun and challenging activities that build strength, confidence, focus, and teamwork. Monkey Mania camps include challenge-courses, daily snack, outside play time, and much more! Instructor to student ratio of 1:5.

    Time: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 12pm (Some sessions offered also in the afternoon 1-4:30pm. See below for dates.)

  • Rock Warriors (Ages 8-11)

    Any little warriors in your life? Sign them up for our Rock Warriors camp! Campers learn the fundamentals of climbing including knots, commands, and more advanced climbing techniques. Our experienced instructors put campers through the paces with fun and challenging activities that build strength, confidence, focus, and teamwork. This camp includes a daily snack, challenge courses, outside play time, and more! Instructor to student ratio of 1:5.

  • Rock Stars (Ages 11-16)

    Rock Stars is Spire's climbing camp for older kids and teens and provides a hands-on approach to learning. During the week, campers learn to understand the fundamentals of climbing. Campers 14 and older can learn to top rope belay under the supervision of our staff. Our experienced instructors and coaches guide participants through a series of games and challenges, allowing each participant to develop discipline, focus, and strength. Instructor to student ratio of 1:6.

Policies

  • Cancellations made before 14 days prior to the start of the event will be refunded. All cancellations made less than 14 days before the event will not be refunded. Transfers are only permitted up to 14 days prior to the start of the session. Please email kids@spireclimbing.com to cancel.

  • Climbing can be a high-risk activity, which is why safety is at the forefront of our program. Behavior that is disruptive, disrespectful, or dangerous impacts the safety of students and staff. Spire Staff works to accommodate and adapt to the needs of all students and families, however Spire’s Program Director reserves the right to dismiss any camper whose behavior is not in the best interest of the program.
