Better Climber Clinics

Our Better Climber Clinics are designed to help our members push through their limits and improve their climbing ability. Classes cover a wide variety of topics, from system wall training to crack climbing techniques, intended to help round out your climbing skill set. Clinics are offered throughout the year and are FREE to members. Come improve your climbing by taking one of our informative clinics!

  • Better Bouldering

    How to be a smarter, stronger, and safer boulderer. We’ll offer techniques that build a foundation for more powerful and dynamic movement. In addition, this class will teach you how to be safer falling, spotting, and topping out.

  • Crack Climbing 101

    Heading to Indian Creek or Yosemite Valley? Want to learn how to climb the Gallatin’s Spare Rib in style? Crack Climbing 101 is your jam! Get it?

  • Better Hang Boarding

    Using the hangboard, learn how to increase finger strength in a systematic and safe way. You will learn about different exercises, grip positions, weight assists, and injury prevention techniques; all to help you hold on a little longer.

  • Falling Clinic

    Having trouble committing to big moves above your last draw? This clinic focuses on how to manage the head game through intentional use of awareness & practice falls at varying heights.

  • Climbing Steeps

    Does the overhang look intimidating? Do you instantly get pumped just looking at a roof? We will help you build the techniques and body positioning strategies to tackle this unforgiving angle.

  • Women's Lifting For Climbing

    A women specific weight training class. Building muscle mass is essential for power production and protecting joints. Learn the ins-and-outs of lifting specifically for climbing performance with one of our female trainers.

  • Know Your Knots

    This class is intended as a space to learn and practice knots! We will focus on knots and hitches as well as covering terminology, material selection, and best use.
